WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE?!
The summer of 2004 proved to be an especially busy time at Eagle Hill Farm. Beyond serving as a transfer point for horses moving to new homes up and down the east coast, Eagle Hill took in many new wards that experienced the good fortune of finding homes in Fredericksburg, Culpeper, Middleburg, and neighboring towns and counties in Virginia's rolling hills. The community has been especially supportive of the rescue efforts underway by Eagle Hill Farm, and a total of 108 horses and foals were placed in adoptive homes in a period of 8 months. Numerous individuals and businesses have stepped forward to assist us in our efforts for which we are so very grateful.
Our efforts continued through 2005 with the adoption of Nursemare Foals and the placement of over 100 horses and babies into new loving homes. We look forward to celebrating our continued successes with you.
In the near future we will be posting stories on Max who has been very very brave through his foot abcess and recovery and also "Thanks", a poor little yearling suffering from neglect and malnutrition who was brought to us by an anomymous person on Thanksgiving Night, hoping that we could help this poor animal to survive. See our Rehabilitation section for those horses' stories.
