Morgen and Rocky

Morgen began working with Pam in the summer of 2005. Her desire is to be a Parelli Insructor some day and she is currently finishing up her Level 1 tasks. She has excellent balance with a great seat, a gentle nature, and love in her hands. She has learned to "stear" by using her body and focus, then legs, then finally reins. She did such a good job with Rocky that he was sold before we ever got further with him. No dust, No bucks, No fuss - just the way we like it.

The natural horsemanship (NH) approach to groundwork and preparation for saddling and riding lead to a very pleasant experience for both horse and rider. This is then passed on to the adopter. We only hope that the new owners will continue the natural approach so that no strong bits, crops, or martingales are ever necessary. Aids are applied slowly, released quickly as the horse does what he is asked to do. They learn by release of pressure.

What's Morgen Up To Lately?

Things here have been great! Everything has been running smoothly, even my horses Cassandra, Andy and Miracle have been getting along regardless of their rough play. I have been desensitizing the horses to EVERYTHING: jackets, sleigh bells, whistles, a shower curtain cut into strips like a car wash, and more!

Cassandra can perform Parelli level 1 and 2 tasks except for the riding. She is looking so beautiful and doing well. She is slowly learning to trust and is gaining confidence daily. Occasionally, you'll even catch her snoozing in the pasture.

Andy is outstanding in training, and I am starting the process of riding him. His favorite thing to do is to stand on or in anything (especially atop high things...it makes him feel big and special. He also loves to roll and sleep. He can do Parelli level 1 tasks, and we are working on level 2.

Miracle - last but definitely not least, Miracle. She is always the center of attention from the simplest things like grooming to the challenges of training. We are having fun working on Parelli level 2. She enjoys every second of her life.

My biggest supporters are Annie and Steve, and friends of Eagle Hill Farm, Pam, Rodney and Molly, Michelle, Jeannie, Robin, Cindy, and Liz. Additional major supporters are Marj, my family and friends, and every horse that has and will come into my life.
