Oreo is a 6 yr old, 13'2" chubby black and white pony who can be ridden with an English or Western saddle or bareback, in a halter or bridle with snaffle bit. He really loves attention from anyone and will follow you around. He enjoys his bath and grooming and is always ready for a treat (which he doesn't need!). Oreo has a wonderful disposition and was our "pony ride" pony at our Open House in Oct. He has completed Level I and Intermediate training. Oreo was taken to two schooling shows the end of last summer and placed in the ribbons in all of the pleasure classes he entered. He is not for a beginner child, however, as he can get a little 'attitude' once in a while. Our horses here at Eagle Hill are trained using natural horsemanship principles which means "Don't kick me to go"!. He doesn't like it! No horse does. Just give him a little squeeze and smooch and you are on your way. He does like to give a playful buck at the canter once in a while and that is why he is not for a true beginner. He is loads of fun , an easy keeper and has no vices. |
